This, that, and the other…

Here’s a small wish: I hope someone is recognized by his peers tonight.  They should all know how special he is - like I do.

I think most of you are confused by the posters I talked about yesterday.  I don’t mean those gods awful motivational posters that seem to have found their way into each and every corporate office in America.  No, my friends - the posters I’m talking about are actually true - if applied as intended.

One of them is supposed to govern our decisions if the management team is unavailable.  It simply states that a decision by a person of the company cannot (or should not…) be questioned if the answer to the following three questions are all: YES

  • Is it good for the customer?
  • Is it good for the employee?
  • Is it good for the company?

In principle, the idea is correct.  Unfortunately, some members of the middle-management of my company forget about two of the three questions.  The one “Yes” answer is usually the first one, and nothing else matters, which trains our customers to act in a certain way.  Clearly, the poster says that ALL of the answers are supposed to be “Yes”.

The one poster that I called out was the “Above the Line” one.  It’s actually called “The Oz Principle” - though I have no idea why.  [I take that back, as I tell Sorted all the time - Google is your friend. ;) ]

Anywho - the idea is correct, if applied.  Unfortunately, it is just words coming out of their mouths - and they only mean it when talking to the masses of underlings.  Certain people (like GoofySalesGuy… ) get a pass.

I go under the knife tomorrow for the first time.   Yay !!!

  1. Thank you for your kind words. As for those motivational posters, they are crap. The de-motivational posters hold so much more credibility. I’m just sayin’ ;)

As for Friday, you will be FABU!! Just make sure you are wearing clean underwear … and NOT COMMANDO!! They don’t need to see that… No one needs to see that :)

I will be with you in thought all day..

  2. Good luck tomorrow. Good thoughts heading your way. You are incredibly handsome, and will be absolutely knock-down gorgeous when this is done.

  3. I looked at the website you linked. I still don’t know what the hell The Oz Principle is (accountability, some book by that name, seminars that make that company incredibly rich) HOWEVER the two guys pictured in the header of that page look gay to me. Gay in a Daddy fetish way.

  4. indeed, good luck with ‘under the knife’ (my grandmother used to use that term!) i hope it goes well for you.

  5. Good luck tomorrow.

  6. Best of luck tomorrow. Is it too late to get a two for one deal with Sorted? God knows she could use some word done…

  7. Let me know if you need some fat from my ass …

  8. Sorry about confusing your poster with the motivational ones.

Best wishes for a good outcome in that encounter with the knife. I’ll be keeping you in my [good] thoughts.

  9. Is this process actually under the knife or injections? If there’s a knife involved, I’d like pictures! I’ve got some I’ll post from having my neck lifted if you’ll share yours!! I’m so kidding!!! There’s nothing I wouldn’t have nipped or tucked, well, maybe that one thing!!
